Day 87: Moving On

(after almost 4 months of hiatus)

Sabi nga nila you should always expect the unexpected. Change is the only constant thing in this world and yet not everybody welcomes it with open arms.

I have been living in UAE for the last 8 years and believe me, though some of my experiences are not very good, mahal ko pa rin ang UAE! I guess I would be crying a lot pag iniwan ko ang bansa ni Maktoum (UAE VP).

Last week, may bago at bonggang opportunity na dumating sa asawa ko. Though it has not been finalized yet, I can consider na almost 80% done deal na sya. I am so excited for my husband, so much that I almost forgot na may mga formalities kami palang kelangan iconsider hehe. Yung opportunity kasi na dumating would need us to move to Qatar. Masaya naman ako. Excited ako. In fact, I am not even worried that when I go there, magiging bonggang housewife ako at unemployed for some time. I have about $2,000 monthly payments (school, nanny, credit cards, utilities, etc), ako kasi ang in-charge sa mga extra expenses and my husband pays the house and other investments-chuva so if I lose my current job then that would mean wala akong ibabayad sa monthly expenses ko hahah. Baka si Neneng ireklamo ako sa labour pag di ko na sya napasahod ng ilang bwan (lol). Pero without the financial issue, I’d be happy to move anywhere na sabihin ng asawa ko.

Kung matutuloy na nga talaga kami sa Qatar, I’d miss Dubai so much. I have so many friends here, I’ve got relatives here. Louis Vuitton, my BFF is here (haha). I’ll miss my two friends na kahit yung isa panay negative force ang dala tas yung isa naman memory gap, mamimiss ko pa rin sila hihi.

If things went smoothly and we’re set to go, I just hope that Gabriel would find and meet new friends in Doha...that he’d enjoy his new school (whatever and wherever that is) and most of all I am really hoping that Gabriel & Gelo will enjoy living Qatar as much as they have enjoyed living in UAE.

Guess we just have to have faith and believe that everything will be alright besides I know that this is part of His plan and this is for our own good :)

My husband will have his site visit next week then after that they’ll be discussing his new position and of course, the compensation package (hehe). So for now, I am keeping my fingers crossed!
